Overview
MinnDrive ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website minndrive.com, the MinnDrive Rider mobile application, and related booking experiences. We provide airport and private car service across the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile app, or services.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and account information — name, phone number, email address, and credentials used to sign in or create an account.
- Ride and booking details — pickup and drop-off addresses, scheduled date and time, passenger and luggage counts, flight or special instructions you choose to provide, and messages related to a trip.
- Payment information — card details are collected and tokenized by our payment processor (Square) for charges you authorize. We do not store full payment card numbers on MinnDrive servers; TripCoreX and our partners handle payment processing according to their security practices.
- Location — when you allow it, the Rider app uses device location to suggest addresses, show maps, and support live ride tracking during service. You can control location access in your device settings.
- Device and app data — device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic logs we need to fix bugs, and (if you enable notifications) a push notification token so we can send ride updates.
- Optional features — if you use them, we may access photos (for example, a profile image you pick) or calendar (only to add an event you request). We ask permission through your operating system before using these capabilities.
- Website technical data — when you browse minndrive.com or related web pages, we may receive browser type, IP address, and similar data needed for security, performance, and basic functionality (including cookies on web surfaces where we use them).
How we use your information
We use this information to:
- Create and manage your account, authenticate you, and secure our systems.
- Confirm, dispatch, and fulfill ride bookings and communicate about your trip (driver, timing, changes).
- Send confirmations, receipts, and (if you opt in) push notifications about ride status.
- Display maps, directions, and estimated timing using mapping services.
- Process payments you authorize and prevent fraud.
- Improve reliability of our app and website and respond to support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing.
Third-party services and subprocessors
We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf. These may include:
- TripCoreX — our booking, dispatch, and ride-management platform. Booking data and related communications flow through TripCoreX systems.
- Square — in-app and related flows for card payment collection and processing.
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Maps, Places) — sign-in for many accounts, maps and address autocomplete, and related location-based features in the Rider app and on our sites where integrated.
- Expo — tools we use to build and deliver the Rider app, including over-the-air updates and infrastructure that helps deliver push notifications to your device.
- Cloudflare and similar providers — website security, performance, and content delivery where we use them.
- Google Fonts — typography on web pages where those assets load.
When you use their features, those providers may process data under their own privacy policies and terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
On web pages we control, we use minimal cookies and similar technologies needed for functionality, preferences, and security. We do not use tracking cookies for third-party advertising across the Rider app.
Data retention
We retain booking and account information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below, subject to legal exceptions.
Your rights
You may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data where applicable law allows.
- Opt out of promotional communications (service-related messages about an active booking may still be sent).
